Porcelain veneers are unexcelled as far as cosmetics. They are very natural looking and quite strong. Two office visits are required for porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers have a long service life, similar to that of a regular crown.
In my practice I tend to favor ceramic veneers for several reasons. I like the extreme cosmetic appearance combined with extended longevity not to mention maintanance free care. Also, porcelain veneers do not change color over time and will maintain a bright smile over its lifetime.
